  After a long battle and delays of the planning authority’s making, planning permission for the family centre in Bickerstaffe was granted at Planning Committee last night.  On the same day we received the heads of terms for the lease for the County Council so it’s finally all systems go.

  The planning application for the new community nursery and family centre goes to planning committee next Thursday.  It’s recommended for approval, after an earlier ‘greenbelt’ rejection.
   I’m a director of the not-for-profit company, Bickerstaffe Children’s Services,  that’s pulled in the £200, 000 investment package to make it happen.  I’ll have my fingers and toes crossed from afar [...]
